Hemi, Ford, Chevy vs Titan (Houston, HRP Sept 3rd)

Anyone up for a freindly GTG (get together) that Sunday during labor day weekend?

Bad Black Hemi is going to get some fellas and I talked to a guy over at Chevy forum thinks he might have some folks too.

count me in RB I'll be bringing a friend of mine that wants to see your nitrous setup how you have it installed and stuff.. He's the guy that will be installing mine, I trust my truck in his (Master ASE Certified ) hands way before my own, hehe I'm finally back in Texas now and will be going home to port arthur this weekend and the dragstrip is only a 45 minute drive for me.. what time do you plan to go there?

Cool. The setup is straight forward no real oddities just personal choices on what to get and where to put it.

I'll probably try to get there around 5pm as racing lanes open at 6pm. They have concessions so your buddies can sniff some nitro and go get beers...LOL

Also you are required to have long pants and full foot covering shoes to race.

There is even a chance that passengers can ride along with ya.

looks like the hemi guys are coming...just got email that says they are 5 strong and one of them in 13 on motor. Should be fun on Sunday regardless.

Well VShortt was a no-show, but we did have 3 Titans out there anyway.

I had 4 runs and while I didn't match DITM's 14.9, I did have 4 good runs for my setup according to RB's and The Head. I was the second fastest Titan there (out of RB's Titan, me and Toomnymods). I don't have any pics because I forgot my camera, but here is a quick summary:

1st Run:
Temp -- 92
Run weight -- 5400 lbs (full street weight w/ tailgate and mickey t's on all 4)
Opponent -- solo run
Result -- Victory
R/T -- .386
60' -- 2.393
1/8 -- 10.104 @ 69.91 MPH
1/4 -- 15.772 @ 86.34 MPH

2nd Run:
Temp -- 89
Run weight -- 5280 lbs (lost tailgate and used stock OR wheels/tires in the rear only)
Opponent -- RB's Titan
Result -- loss by about 5 truck lengths
R/T -- .495
60' -- 2.450
1/8 -- 10.014 @ 72.07 MPH
1/4 -- 15.490 @ 89.64 MPH

3rd Run:
Temp -- 86
Run weight -- 5480 lbs (RB rode w/me)
Opponent -- Dodge Cummins that runs in the 12s
Result -- Victory (smoked him because something went wrong with his run)
R/T -- .354
60' -- 2.318
1/8 -- 9.945 @ 71.19 MPH
1/4 -- 15.492 @ 86.42 MPH

4th Run:
Temp -- 86
Run weight -- 5280 lbs
Opponent -- 90s model Camaro
Result -- Loss (got smoked, but I took him off the line)
R/T -- .313
60' -- 2.325
1/8 -- 9.888 @ 71.70 MPH
1/4 -- 15.416 @ 88.62 MPH

i would have run better, but i didnt have my heater wired up yet, so i couldnt get my bottle pressure up to where i needed it. these times where on the 125 shot. but overall, i am very happy with my times, and next time i go, i'll have the heater hooked up, so i'll be in the 12's. and then in cooler weather i'll shoot for about a 12.6 on that same 125 shot. who knows what my times will be when i get my cam and slicks!!

it was set to spray at WOT so i left at about 1/2 throttle, then 3/4 and right before the 60ft i went WOT and it started sprayin'
