Houston Convoy for Texas Meet

Please note, this is for those driving up SATURDAY MORNING, October 7th.

Our meeting location will be the Academy off of 290 at FM1960/Hwy6.

Here is a map link and attached is a picture of which building it is (the red square).

We would like to be on the road by 8am, so please show up a few minutes early. We will take 290 to Austin, as the park is on the north side of town, and 290 will lead us almost all the way there. I've got directions, and I know there are a few Houston guys with navigation systems, so we should have no problems finding the park.

Awe man V you beat me to the post...I think it would be easy to stop in Chapel Hill as there are stop lights there..???

Chappel Hill sounds like a good spot, there is that one light with the restaurant and gas station that would be a good stop. Probably easier than somewhere in Brenham

Hey, I'm about 30 miles NW of Chappel Hill. Burton or Brenham would be best for me. I can just stop and wait on the side of the road whenever you guys are supposed to be near there. How many of you guys are gonna be in the convoy? It will take me about 15-20 minutes to get to 290 from my house.

That will be good too. One of us can call you when we pass through Chappel Hill and you start heading towards 290. Did you give Vshortt your cell number?

I'm thinking we will have 8-10 trucks cruising together, so hopefully we will be easy to spot. Let us know what you want to do.

Sounds good to me. I think if you guys give me a call when you are in Chappell Hill, that will give me just enough time to meet you guys in Burton, TX. Burton is about 17 miles from my place in Somerville, while it is 22 miles west of Chappell Hill. What time do yall think you guys will be getting close?

If we do actually get away at 8, I'd say we will be passing through Chappel Hill just before 9.
