Trophy Nissan in Mesquite is currently running this deal where if you purchase an '06 Titan you get an '06 Altima for $1. I have an '06 Titan that I bought back in February. I wouldn't mind trading it in along with my wife's '01 Civic in order to upgrade us both to new vehicles. Has anybody on here ever taken advantage of this offer; and if so, how did it work? Thanks.
Generally they make you pay full sticker (might even have some add ons like "paint sealant package and undercoating") for the Titan and you get a stripped down plain jane 5spd altima. No haggling allowed.

Paint sealant package? Hmm Makes me think when I was buying my Truck. Is that what the sctochguard or whatever paint treatment thing is? I remember him saying something about that and the paint, but was so excited when I was getting the truck, (and I had been up since 1am for work) so I didn't really pay attention (I let the wife, mrs. number cruncher deal with them).

I figured as much. I was hoping to find someone who might have bought a truck under that offer and find out what they paid. Since Trophy hasn't gotten back with me in the last 5 hours since I sent my email, I most likely wouldn't have done business with them anyway. Thanks again all for your input
Bottom line is they aren't giving anything away, they are making money. You could go to any dealership and negotiate deals on both cars and come out better.

I bought my first Titan from Trophy and they do a lot of those advertisement gimmicks such as that to get you in the door and work you over. They are the type of dealership that does all the paint sealant add ons and window tint add on stuff.
When I bought my '04 from them I told them I wanted them to take off the bed rails and step rails because I did not ask for them (add on). The shops were closed and it could not be done prior to delivery. I never took it back to get them taken off and thus stole them from the dealership. I did not buy my '06 from them. They are too much of a headache to deal with.

I went in there that weekend knowing it was just a gimmick but with the intent to use it to my advantage. 4 days later I bought my 2007 4x4 titan for BELOW dealer cost
Figure it this way...$40,000.00 for a loaded Titan KC with everything but the kitchen sink...add custom wheels, billet grille $7,000.00...add paint protection, upholstery protection, VIN etching, chrome license frame, other worthless crap..$3,500.00...add the Doc Fees for both vehicles $1,000.00.
List: $51,500.00 ...no haggling..and you get the Altima free
Actual dealer cost $32,000.00 for the truck (dealer pockets the rebate and holdback)...$1,000.00 for the wheels, billet grille, paint & upholstery protection, VIN etching and Doc Fees.
Net: $33,000.00
And...add the tax and license fees for both vehicles...and...here it comes...you ready? The truck must be financed through the dealers own finance company.
