Hey everyone. I'm new to TitanTalk and am looking to buy a new Titan in the next couple of months. I just got my bachelors in December and start my new job (if they ever give me the bloody paper work to fill out) in February. I'm in pretty dire need of a new vehicle. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good dealer (price, customer service and handling warranty issues) or who to stay away from. I live at Bush and the Tollway, but I'm willing to make a drive if it's worth my time. TIA
Go to North Texas Nissan... They will take care of you... but make sure you talk to multiple dealers and let them know that you are talking to others so they will fight over you business... ONe of the fastest ways for them to come down on prices...
Thanks for the advice. Any trouble with warranty claims (assuming you’ve had problems)? I’m not as worried about price as much as I am post purchase service. I fully intend to have all the internet managers in the area duke it out before I even step foot in a dealership.
I've use Courtesy Nissan in Richardson for a warranty claim on a Maxima. Extremely pleasant considering I was at the end of the warranty. They paid for the tow truck and fixed the tranny seal same day.
Even on a 4x4 CC LE? Cheaper than I thought. Of course, I just found the pics on here of the 08, so I might have to wait it out for a couple months now...
Try Jerry's Nissan in Weatherford. I bought mine there. Be informed about pricing before hand. It is a buyers market right now. You can easily get true invoice pricing if your well informed and stick to your guns. Don't get sentimental about your purchase. Pay cash and don't have a trade-in.

Well, unfortunately, I don't have 30+K in cash. In fact, I have approximately 11K or so in school loans I still have to pay back, though I do have a few grand saved up to throw down when I'm ready. As for a trade in, my current car has already been totaled, so trading it would just be a joke. I'll probably just give it to a buddy of mine who's carless. Thanks for the recommendation.
If you are going to look at North Texas Nissan, make sure you work with a good salesman. North Texas can be major crooks, but they still have a few good guys up there. I bought my truck from there, when one of my good friends was a salesman. I got a great deal on my truck because he was the top salesman at the time. However, I have heard horror stories of people getting taken to the bank on several occasions. Not that this can't happen at any dealership, but it just happens a little to frequently at North Texas. If you do go up there, ask for Jake. He is one of their top guys and a great guy to do business with. Tell him Ben in the White lifted Titan w/ Monkeys and Llamas written on the side of it sent you.
Somebody already made an excellent point... it is a buyers market and you should not have a problem with getting a 07 just the way you like it with a decent amount off of MSRP... especially with the 08's coming out. You should be able to even get a good discount on an extended warranty. Good luck with your search.

Well, you could buy at a Houston dealer, then make a side trip to the San Jacinto Monument, where docked nearby is the oldest Dreadnought Battle Wagon afloat, the USS Texas.
I bought mine at Don Davis in Arlington and it was an ok experience, not the best i've had but definately far from the worst. If you go there talk to James Whitehouse, he will treat you right. I had no trouble getting a good price on the trucks as a matter of fact I went to several dealerships looking to buy the same truck (most of them trade stock amongst themselves) and they were all about the same on price (invoice + a couple hundred). Trying to get what I wanted for my trade in is where I had issues and Don Davis was the only one that would give me what I wanted. I would stay away from Trophy Nissan whatever you do, they are very hard on their customers, its a hard sell place and be weary of Mckinney Nissan, its the same group. Thornhill Nissan is yet another dealership where the sales guy has to run back and forth to the manager's booth with each offer and response, I hate those deals. I have bought two vehicles from Bankston dealerships and both were good experiences (they were my first stop but wouldn't come up enough on the trade), there is a Bankston Nissan in Lewisville and one in Irving.
My ultimate advice is this....when you are ready to shop, do not just walk into a dealership looking to buy. Start online, go to the different dealerships websites, and do an online inquiry. You will then get a call from either their internet sales or fleet department and they will schedule a time for you to come and talk to them. These guys are usually always busy so they won't screw around with you much on price, like the normal sales guys will. Believe me, I have bought my last 4 cars with this method and I always get a good price without much of a hassle and the experience is much better than just walking in and getting hard sold. Most times they will offer their best price (invoice + a couple hundred) in their response email or on the phone before you walk in the door. There are occasions where vehicles can be bought below invoice price but those deals are few and far between and usually on stale inventory. Good luck!

North Texas Nissan. I went through the internet department and had a great experience. My deal was done before I walked through the door. I'll go back for my next Titan in 2010.

An interesting bit of knowledge! How far is the San Jacinto monument from Houston? I won't be, however, driving all they way to Houston to buy a new vehicle. I freakin' hated Houston the one time I was there, but that was for a funeral, so my opinion of the city my be slightly skewed... Hopefully when I go back, 45 won't be closed at 610 for a wreck and 10 west of 610 won't be a construction nightmare.
To everyone else, thanks so much for your input and keep it comin'! I just have to decide whether or not to wait for the '08s or not...
I got my '04 LE at Trophy Nissan in North Mesquite for $300 over Invoice!!

Speakin' of Houston, we're planning a Caravan to their Houston meet on the 25th of Feb.
We had a Blast the last caravan we did to Austin (7 Titans plowing thru Traffic!!) lol
