Repost Timing?

I've talked with the dealership in the Sugarland and Clear Lake area and both seem dumb founded when I asked about a timing advance. I'd appreciate yalls input on a dealership that would do it for me or a shop.

Thanks,

Re: Repost Timing?

Just curious.. What's required to do the timing advance? Like I'm not even sure how the install or whatever works..

Re: Repost Timing?

Its done in the ECU. It requires either a Consult, which only dealers have or one of the software programs like Cypher from Uprev.

Re: Repost Timing?

Make sure you are running 90+ octane fuel otherwise the ECU will pick-up the knock and retard the timing. Generally you can feel this as a flat spot when you are accelerating after the initial tip-in retard / enrichment.
