[where] Spray-on Bedliner

Hello Guys,

I'm looking for an inexpensive place to get my Spray-on bed liner in Houston, I'm not looking to haul anything anytime soon, I just need it so I won't scratch the hell out of the bed.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, the cheapest I found was $295.00 + Tax, is that the average or can I get it for cheaper ?

again, that's in Houston.

295 is pretty good. I think my brother paid somewhere between 400-500 for the RhinoLiner in his F-250.

I agree 295 sounds like a good deal. My RhinoLiner was just over 400

You would be a fool not to go with Line-X!!!

www.line-x.com

Yes, more expensive, but well worth it!!!

You get what you pay for!!

Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

Given the choice I would take a drop in liner over a spray on.
Don't Fade
Don't Dent
Don't chip,scratch or peel
About 1/2 the cost and twice the protection.
And at least where I live in So Cal,I've never, ever seen one that rusted out the bed underneath.
Don't get me wrong I have the OEM Spray On and keep it due to the Utili-Track,but given the choice?
The Spray On industry was created as a universal approach to providing for every type of truck imagineable. It's all about how they market this that makes them popular. It is much easier to stock a couple gallons of material than it is to stock 500 differenet bed liners.

Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

LINE-X does not rattle like a drop-in.
LINE-X with Xtra won't fade.
LINE-X won't vibrate and rub the paint off like a drop-in.
LINE-X won't warp like a drop-in.
LINE-X is repairable (just in case) unlike a drop-in
LINE-X has a nationwide lifetime warranty
LINE-X won't trap moisture and debris
LINE-X does not generate static electricity
LINE-X won't fly out of the truck bed
LINE-X conforms to all of the contours and takes up less space

Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

I've put line-x in my last 3 trucks. Little more expensive but the best way to go hands down. Total different class than drop in's and much more durable than the rhino. The rhino stays soft and have a tendency to tear when sliding heavy things for example wood pallets with weight on them.

LINE-X does not rattle like a drop-in.- OEM Tie Down bolts keep it from rattling
LINE-X with Xtra won't fade.- Neither will a drop in(by the way I've NEVER seen a spray on that didn't fade I don't care how much Xtra it has on it!)Also have you ever seen the discoloring that happens from a car wash?
LINE-X won't vibrate and rub the paint off like a drop in. Once again couple of tie down bolts
LINE-X won't warp like a drop-in.- Underrails don't warp
LINE-X is repairable (just in case)- unlike a drop-in -Drop in's warranty for life easy to replace(just in case) but VERY unlikely
LINE-X has a nationwide lifetime warranty -Big Deal,so who doesn't
LINE-X won't trap moisture and debris -Neither will a drop in this is a myth
LINE-X does not generate static electricity- Ever fill a gas can in one? Don't try it!
LINE-X won't fly out of the truck bed- once again the tie down bolts, note already existing on the Titan for OEM tie downs
LINE-X conforms to all of the contours and takes up less space- I could spare 4 cubic inches to make up for the dent protection a Spray On can't provide.
Ever roll an engine block in the back of a spray on? It's not pretty.
So what else you got?

Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

What part of town are you in?

My friend just got his f-250 done at Bay Area Truck Center, just south of League City. http://www.baatrucks.com/

They did an awsome job, and it seems indestructible..

Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

That company offers Xtreme Liner. There's just a couple of problems with Xtreme. First, the warranty is only valid with the dealer that applies it. So, if he goes out of business, you have no warranty. Some brands offer a lifetime warranty that's valid NATIONWIDE. Second, Xtreme does not offer UV protection. So, it's going to fade pretty bad within a year if you don't have a tonneau cover on it.

The owner of this Ford stripped out his Xtreme Liner himself and then had LINE-X Xtra installed.

This is Xtreme Liner:

This his his truck with LINE-X Xtra:

Need a drop-in bedliner? Come on over and take a few, darn things are like rabbits.

Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

If you go with Line-X, you have to drive to Austin for the closest dealer...that's what I had to do on mine. Well worth it though, I got black with Xtra and it looks amazing!

Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

Ok, the pile of drop in liners cracked me up. I have the drop in and want to get rid of the darn thing. My biggest beef is everything slides all over the place. If you want something to stay put, you have to strap it, even for a short trip. I've never heard anyone complain about Line-x. Whatever spray in Nissan puts in (Rhino maybe?) has been known to fade.

Here are pics of my black line-x with Xtra. With the Xtra topcoat, it will be this black and glossy for many years to come.

Thumbs up Re: [where] Spray-on Bedliner

My 2006, had a spray-in, and was noticeably faded after only a year.
This is a truck that was garaged at home and at work so it was only outside a couple hours a day. My new Titan has the drop in, which I assumed wasn't as good, because I've had them before in older trucks (20 years ago) and they rattled and warped a little over time (thin walled).
I don't know if they're all like this now, or just the ones that go in the Titan, but this thing is alot thicker than the ones I've had in trucks in the past, plus it's under the rails and does not move or make noise at all. I drive around town with the back glass down in my crew cab all the time and the only thing I ever hear is the stupid Titan Tailgate noise when I go over speedbumps.
