Mag Hytec differential gasket.

Well, I found out it would cost $18 to buy one of these and $14 to ship it to my house. I look up their address and they are located in Van Nuys in the San fernando valley....15 minutes away from me. Drove my little gas saver there, picked it up, and Ta da!!! $18 with no tax! Woohoo! Met the owner and told him about our site and the gasket was recommend by a fellow Titan owner that bought the product. The guy is legit and very polite. Anyways, pick up one of his gaskets if you decide to change differential covers.

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

Yeah I saw one first hand this weekend when Gary748 added a Mag Hytec diff cover. They are very nice solid sturdy gasket. I may have to get one of these too, instead of using the messy RTV as a gasket

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

I agree, they are very nice but man, the price has almost doubled since I bought mine. I paid around $10 for the gasket and $8 for shipping about a year ago.

Yep it's so worth it and you can re-use it. Glad it worked out for you....now make sure to take plenty of pictures of the install....

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

that's awesome... you didn't happen to see if he would be a site sponsor and throw up a GB did you??? if not, you should go by there again and ask him to, so we TT members can start sportin' some MagTech rear diff covers and give'em free advertisement too!

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

Steve, I'm going to order a spare so let me know if you want one. You me and Paul can split the shipping since it's $15.57 for 3 shipped to my house. I think Chris may want one too. It's $14.88 for 1 shipped to FL so it's very expensive and seems high. If you buy 1 it's $32.88 including shipping. If I buy 3 and we split the shipping it's $23.19. I know you love a good deal man!!! LOL

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

If you are not changing diff covers....save the money. But if you are changing diff covers then yes, buy one.

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

Not sure why the gasket needs to be reusable, unless you have a quick-change type rear. I can buy a lot of red RTV for $18. To each his own.

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

Yeah I had RTV inside my diff housing when I opened it up last time, I would just rather have an actual gasket in there then worry about RTV

Re: Mag Hytec differential gasket.

Me too. I alway's let it cure a little before re-installing the cover, but you still get a little RTV gunk in the bottom, on the plug.
