JetTech, I put the helper springs on and they eliminated 95% of clunk. Thanks. I also noticed that the steering is more responsive and it feels like the truck is "hugging" the road surface and seems to be tighter. My imagination or did you experience this? Thanks again. MLV

I don't think your imagining things at all because the springs will definitely make the truck feel like it's better secured to the road or perhaps much more stable.

OK ... here it is ... the LIFTED TITAN REVIEW

The BAD:
- Busted my d@mn nucke with the rachet slipped off ... OUCH !!! Good amout of blood loss.
- Slight ride height loss

The GOOD:
- $20
- Easy to install
- Sticks to the road a bit better
- Less body roll on corners
- Less than 45 minutes to install
- Oh, almost forgot ... MADE THE ENTIRE FRIGGIN CLUNK GO AWAY !!!

So JetTech, guess I need to know where to send the $$$ ... actually, I'll just send you a Visa gift card, swipe it wherever for whatever.

Mike (clunkless finally)

Has anyone installed this on a Titan WITH the offroad package? I just went outside to install the exact ones that Jettec recommended and I have a rather THICK bootom leaf that extends to far to allow this helper to clear. Maybe I dont need these? I dont have the clunk but I was hoping for less axle hop and perhaps a little tighter rear end in corners.....

Mine were pretty tough to get on as well ... keep at it ... it will make it on there. you may have to bend the tabs up at an angle to get the bolt through it.

Question Helper Kit

I just tried installing a helper kit manufactured by Superior. I couldn't get the helper far enough back on the leaf spring.
The front bracket was too short to bolt over the spring.
Anyone else successfully installed Superior hekper spring on their Titan ?
Thanks\Colin

I have the off road on my LE CC 4X4 and installed the helper springs without any problem. I purchased mine at the Autozone and will post the brand when I retrieve the box from the barn. Definitely worth the effort. MLV.

I don't have the off road package but do have the big tow, and I installed the Superior brand helpers. Had to hold my mouth right but did finally manage to get them on. Also, on mine the inside (nut end) of front hangar bolts when tightened were very close to the truck frame, so I bought some washers at the parts store and placed a couple on the bolt head end to give me more space between the end of the bolt and the frame.

Helpers on

Got them installed yesterday, it has more traction now for sure.
Haven't been on the freeway washboard expansion joints yet ??
Thinking about replacing rear shocks with a softer ride!

Posts Tips Extracted

In prep. for installing - always takes me 4X longer to install as 'should' - went through the posts for install experiences, tips.

Extracted as here: HelperSprings.rtf

I get blank webpage if left click on link. If right click & 'Save Target As...', 'Save Link As...' & then Open, then view in Wordpad (or Word).
