By the time you add up the cost of swapping out ecu. Uprev is only $500 and work on 04

Re: 05 or newer ecu in a 04?

I'm an 04' as well and I've discovered that the Bullydog doesn't work for me. Uprev is a tuning if I'm not mistaken, how is it uploaded to the truck? Just through another programmer correct?

They send you all you need, you do need a laptop (a home PC will work for loading but not good for data logging).
You load the tunes via the lap top. Drive around and data log with the included cipher software. Send them the infos and they can fine tune your MAPs. The initial MAPs they send you are pretty good though.

Plus the cost to re-programmed the NATS (chipped keys) usually about $100 - $125 for this. Plus the programmer like say BD or HT ect...
Will run you in the neighborhood of $500.
(Unless you have the hook up at the dealer and get all this done for free).

Re: 05 or newer ecu in a 04?

It's my understanding the 05' is a TOTALLY different ECU then the 04's...

You can get the Cortex for the 04' models, it's what I run...

None of the tune options from anybody has been able to help with speedo change....

I think there is a stand alone unit made just for speedo calibration change the installs inline between the speedo pulsr feed and the speedo head...
