Smile Something to Ponder?

Hello all,
I bought a Titan in February and have not really drove it much as I drive company trucks. I have just read some of the things going on with these trucks and I must admit it makes me nervous. I have only 4600 miles on my truck. I did change my rear differential oil after reading some of the problems that have occured and mine was a little low but didn't smell burnt. I also checked my A/C water drain and it is coming out of the drain tube under the hood so all seems well there too. The radio problem I am still not sure what it is that is happening but hope mine is ok as I listen to cd's most of the time. Does it seem strange to you guys that the vent for the rearend is just a cap style instead of being run up in the frame like the front one is? I also noticed that my differential had pressure in it when I changed oil in it. My 1988 IROC Camaro used to do this same thing along with blowning out my cover gasket until I took my vent off and knocked the rubber diaphragm out of it and have had no problems since. I can't see doing this to my truck but I am thinking of running a hose nipple off the rearend and running a hose up into the frame rail. I did take my truck on a 3000 mile trip pulling a trailer to haul back a studebaker truck and my truck did blow some gearlube out the vent and does seem to get pretty hot but has not burnt off the paint. I have also been trying to pursue getting a block heater for my truck as I know I will need it when winter arrives in Minnesota but no one can seem to help me. I have called about every number in the customer service list but with no luck. I really would like to get a heater and put it in before winter hits because if this truck don't start I will be screwed as nobody up here will touch it. Well that's just my 10 cents worth. I will keep reading an hope you all find resolve in your problems.

I noticed when I changed my oil that there is a freeze plug close to the oil filter. It looks like that plug would be easy to get at to put in a block heater in its place. Can't you use any block heater that has the same diameter as the freeze plug that you remove?
