Can someone tell me, when you stick your finger in the fill hole, how far down should the fluid be.
I can feel a little down there, but not much.

Supposedly you are supposed to fill until some comes out of the fill hole. So. . . . . . . . does that answer your question?

Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I worked in garages as a teen, and oil changes and grease jobs were the main thing I did. I was always taught the rear end was to be filled to the inspection/fill hole, or no lower then 1 knuckle of pinky down from top of inspection/fill hole.(aprox 1 inch) I checked mine, and could just get the tip of my finger to touch the oil at the second knuckle in the hole! (probobly 2 inches?) I had wife take truck to dealer, and they took it inside, and then told her the levels were fine!!!???? Have times changed, new standards applied when I wasn't looking? I am having a REAL hard time believing that is the level it is supposed to be at!

It's not fine, the level is correct at the bottom of the fill hole. You may want to have the dealer show you how "fine" your level is....
