Fluid changes done after long trip.

Rear differential oil looked fairly good today when drained for the second time. The Mobil 1 synthetic 75w-90 was alittle discolored but generally still retained most of its amber color. Maybe alittle greenish/gray in there, but not like the crap that came out when dumping the factory fill after just 1,600 miles. About 1/3 of the mung on the magnetic plug this time also. Diff cover alittle faded but no serious paint destruction or peeling. There is alittle paint cracking on the upper right side (looking from the rear) but it is exactly like it was before leaving on this trip of 2,706 miles. Has not gotten any worse. Looks more like a sub par paint job than damage. No where near what my two neighbors have. If there is any rust it is very tiny and can't be seen readily.
Motor oil changed today also. Dark but not totally black. Put in the same as last time, Castrol GTX 10w-30. Have changed 3 times now at 802 miles 2,291 miles and 5,074 miles.
Tranny flush at dealer tomorrow. Took off all skid plates so the slap d**** at the dealer don't snap off any bolts, cross thread them or forget to put some in. Plus I will be able to check their work much easier. I will let them know I was under the truck today and will be under there after they are done to check things out and put the skid plates back on. Sad that it has to be this way, but better safe than sorry. "Trust but Verify"!
