I need a stock-like gear ratio for my bigger tires

My titan was lifted 6" with 35s when i bbought it, so i have no idea what the stock tire size and gear ratio is for my model. 05 SE crew 4x4 big tow. It feels a little sluggish at times and im wanting the power and fuel economy of a stock tire. so basically i wanna mimic the stock tire/gearing configuration but with my 35" tires

Re: I need a stock-like gear ratio for my bigger tires

You will never get the fuel economy of a stock truck with a stock tire with a 6" lift and 35s.

Original Tire Diameter 32.7 (285/70R17) / Original Axle Ratio (3.36 for Big Tow) = New Tire Diameter (35) / New Axle Ratio which the closest available ratio that works out to is 3.73

However, as a 4wd, I think you are limited by available gears for the front, AFAIK that is 4.10 or 4.56

If I was regearing a stock 2005 rear axle, I would also have a TrueTrac installed at the same time.

I'll second this, and suggest the 4.10's for your setup, being on 35's you really have no need for the 4.56's unless you want to burnout every time you give her a little love on the throttle
