question about 2004 rear end /diff
do the 2004 have clutch packs in the diffs? any help would be great thanks

No. Some other brands of trucks with a limited slip differential do, but Titans only have a Active Brake Limited Slip, (ABLS), that uses brakes to somewhat help with traction. All 4x4 Titans, and the 2wd Big Tow and 2004 (only), 2wd Off Road package come with ABLS.
The only aftermarket limited slip differential for the Titan that I know of, (Detroit Locker's TruTrac), uses helical gears instead of clutch packs.
