Gooseneck Hitch in a Titan??

I have an appointment to have a gooseneck hitch installed in my Titan on Sept 3. They said they needed extra time to study the framework of the truck since no one has had one installed with them before in a Titan. Does anyone have or know anyone who has a gooseneck hitch in their Titan and if so, how is everything working out? My sales and service managers said that the truck was capable of towing my horse trailer and horses (about 8700 lbs) so when the hitch goes in this Titan will be put to the test. My trailer is a aluminum 3 horse slant load weighing 5250 lbs and all three of my horses weigh 3300 lbs. plus about 150 lbs of tack. Wish me luck.

Someone here has a gooseneck or fifth wheel. They got it several months ago. Search the old posts.

Re: Gooseneck Hitch in a Titan??

LynchTR: can you tell me how this worked out? I am looking into getting a titan and 2 horse gooseneck and was told by the trailer place I had to get a truck w/ at least a 6.5 ft. bed. The crew cab titan only has 5.5ft in the bed - is this enough? she also said something about the way the hitch fits on the titan is different than the fords and chevy's - is this true? and said only the dealer can put in the GN hitch?
