Exclamation Puff at start up!

Welp...with only about 2300 miles on my truck, I noticed the other day that after the truck sat for a day or two, it puffed the dreaded bluish gray smoke on initial start up. I'm not sure if it has been this way since "new" or if it just started. I drive this truck like I need it to last 50 years so running it hard is definitely NOT an issue . Besides, I have a "company" car to drive hard. Anyway, please don't tell me about valve seals being an issue with the 5.6 engine. I've already had one issue with service from the dealer. I can't wait to see what happens with this (if it wasn't a one-time thing). Anyone else here notice the blue puff smoke on start-up?

The longest I have left mine dormant between uses is about 3 days and I have never had that happen. It is probably something that would be hard to duplicate for a mechanic so hopefully it is nothing to worry about. Check these threads if you haven't read them already:

On your last oil change did you add 6.5 quarts or did you fill it until the oil was at the top of the full mark on the dipstick? My BMW motorcycle will puff from time to time if I leave it on it's side stand. I do not think you have anything to worry about. Just keep an eye on the oil level and the conditions that cause it if it ever happens again.
