AT check light please help!!

hey fellas gotta situation here with my truck. i was kicking it at a friends house when a big cold front moved in and took the temp down to 30 in half an hour. when i drove to his house, i had no problems everything ran fine. got back in my truck after the front, hours later, and put the ole T in drive and it felt like it was partially in neutral, i couldnt get any of my 320 ponies to put their feet on the ground and start really moving my truck until i hit about 10 mph and then the AT check light started blinking i turned my truck in and off multiple times but it kept doing it. when i got home i immediately searched the problem on our lovely forum but the only thing people had to see is it hasn't done it after the next time they turn it on or they turn it off and on a few times and it stops. well mine has yet to stop so does anyone have any info on what the problem might be and the cost to fix? any info would help thanks

i guess you dont have a code reader. those things are worth the money!

I had that happen to me once when my ABS/Brake warning light/VDC all kicked on after hitting the brakes getting the ole ABS feeling in the pedal. Typical 04 problem. I decided to shut the truck off in Neutral while coasting, when I restarted it that's when I had your issue. I stopped and restarted the truck and it when away.

I suggest doing a computer reset. I am sure you confused the crap out of the TCM and pushed a code to put it in Safe Mode or something like that. If it goes away afterwards, good news. If it comes back, definitely get the code read.

i got the hypertech ME tuner, airaid mxp cajun mids and jab could that have anything to do with it??

I wouldn't think so. Plenty of people running the same setups or close to it without any problems. Reset the codes or computer. If you unhook the battery, probably best to let it sit over night. You can also try the ECU reset: How to:ECU Reset,Throttle & Accelerator Position Learning

ok so i just ran up to crap in the box for some grub and the truck ran fine, no AT check light and no problems. should i be worried? does something need to be replaced or can i run it?

I don't think you have anything to worry about, unless it continues to happen. I have only had it happen once, but you should probably get your codes check and see what the stored code is. Then go from there. I never did, but I was waiting to see if it happened again. My one thought on it was that it possibly had something to do with the VDC. Someone else may have more information on this issue.

ok cool thanks guys. i also have another problem. my ses light came on a while ago and my code reader said something about it couldnt read tdc or top dead center? it read it four times, any thoughts before i make a new thread?
