clunk

hey guys, ive had this issue for a couple weeks now, when i start the truck and drive off in the mornings, right before it shifts to 2nd, or maybe after, i cant remember, i get a clunk sound and feel right below me, this ONLY happens ONE time during the day, at the initial drive off, later on its never there just the one time when i drive off, does anybody have info on this? remember it just happens one time, at the first drive away from my house, its not present any time after that, thanks anyone who can help.

I have the same problem, I just did a search to find this. I'd love to know what the problem is. I am taking the truck back to the dealer soon, they are replacing the 2 back tires, I had a vibration, they said they couldn't balance them out right. They are also switching out the radio, and a small piece of molding on the outside of the drivers rear door. The clunk only happens in the morning with me aswell, just when leaving, it almost reminds me of the clunk when disengaging the 4 wheel drive will driving (sometimes makes a clunk if you are turning slightly while disengaging). Any advise would be great.

I had the clunk from day 1 shifting from P to R or D not from a cold start but after driving for a while. I thougt it was normal for a truck. I took the car in for the brake work/oil change/seatbelt recall and also asked about the clunk. The service writer who also has a Titan with columm shift said it is too loud and his doesn't do that. They took it in and found out it's the shaft front U-joint. Parts are being ordered.
