Smile Safe to use manual mode during city driving?

I have a titan xe with the column shifter. Is it safe to use the electric rocker switch as you would an autostick that dodge makes for the intrepid. I like the idea of controlling the engine rpm and gear selection but I do not want to cause damage/void my warranty. Since the truck only has a 1000 miles, I make sure that the rpm's stay below 4000. The truck will not be used for towing boats, ect.

I have been putting mine in manual 4 during city driving, dont see the need to be in 5th or overdrive at 45mph.. Been doing for awhile with no ill effect.

i don'y think you will hurt it using ti lake a manual shifter but you will burn a heck of alot more fuel. nissan has the shift points set foro optimal fuel mileage and i doubt you can consistantly match their shift points. I admit though once in a while its fun to punch it and let it rev a little before shifting.

Allowing the transmittion to go into o/d in the city will not reduce transmission life how ever it will improve fuel economy
