You should also add a choice for those that have not. This way you can compare the amount of good to bad also.

I agree with QWIKWHIP. It would be nice to see a ratio of non-failures to failures.

Mine has not failed and I have 18000+ miles. I have replaced the gear oil with 85-140 synthetic blend (couldn't find 75-140 full synthetic) and noticed the oil level from the factory was okay.

I don't think I can change the poll now.... at least I haven't been able to figure out a way. I wasn't too concerned with those that didn't have a problem cuz I know most of us don't. Just thought it would be good to get a number for how many failures are out there in Titantalk.com land. That way we can say there have been xx failures reported.

I guess we could always start another poll......and delete this one if there is a way to do that. Admin any help here..

Mine went Saturday with 3,700 miles on it. Took a small amount of gear oil at 1,000 miles. No burning paint, whining, smell or any symptons. About a week before, it made a very occasional 'thunk' on turns. Dealer will install an '05 rear with 75-140 synthetic.

I believe what some others have said, it's probably either good or bad from the factory. huh mine was bad so I get a new *** . I hope this one is good cause if it's not I'm gonna break that one too

Well on second thought I agree with cttitan to not enter those without problems/failures.....but I would like you to add 04 and 05 Front Differential failures as well.....that would be four choices. That's my 3¢ worth.

I have added two fields and set the poll limit to 30 days. That should give enough time for those who care to vote on this poll.

Your the man!

I voted no problems with my 04. Checked the fluids the first weekend, found both low. Changed to Mobil1 at 1000 miles.

Excuse me but I fail to see how any useful data can be gathered from such a poll. If I had a problem with my differential and/or was pissed off at Nissan what would prevent me from posting several times and skewing the data? Also, people with no problems are unlikely to vote. If you could truly control the data into the poll, you'd find an extremely low failure rate or this forum would be lit up like a christmas tree with complaints. As I look at it now, it gives the impression that 18% of the '04 owners polled have had problems. This only relates to those that took the poll and has no bearing at all on the total Titan ownership. I can applaud your efforts to gather useful data, I just think there are a lot of shortcomings with this approach.

I also hope that those looking for valid data in making an important decision such as buying a vehicle would not give much credence to this poll.
