4X4 Front Axle Check Please.

I was wondering if some of my Titan Talk Brothers and Sisters who own 4X4 trucks could do a check of their front Axles for play. (whenever you have the time)

There has been some speculation about what is normal so I went out (with my new black jack of coarse

) and checked for play with the wheels on the ground, and then jacked up off the ground. My axles are solid and tight , no play at all. Now I need some others to check and report back so we have a base line here at T.T.

Don't want any bad information being passed out when asked by concerned members.

Hey Squid......need better test directions!!

On Ground: If I grab the inner shaft coupling at differential and rotate front to back I get about 1/8" play.......
If I grab and pull the coupling at the differential in/out horizontally I get about 1/8" play.......
When we agree about how to test on ground and off I'll jack "Miss Honeykeeper" up and see.

I don't know Squid. I seem to remember a post about the front axle falling out.....
