Sounds reasonable to me.

Lots of interesting info. I'm really just going off of the general consensus in that particular analysis. It seemed overall to be pretty good.

I'm not versed in analyzing the numbers (results) so I really don't know at this point what the heck I'm looking at.

I think what would really be a good comparison is to do the same test on the same truck with the same miles with another oil say M1 to get a more accurate comparison to another oil.

Mechanically sound LOL. I guess thats GM terminology for a poor design. As I understand it GM had problems with the expansion rates of the aluminum block and steel crankshaft. So in typical GM fashion they introduce a band aid fix, a copper bearing to take the beating when the block and crank expand at different rates. Then they say the service life for an LS block is 100K miles. Then they wonder why their company if failing miserably, hmmmm.

I wouldn't run Royal purple in my titan, never seen impressive numbers with RP on a semi extended drain. You can't go wrong with mobil 1 0w-40 or GC 0w-30. I think I would run Chevron supreme 10w-30 before I'd run RP. The chevy supreme is only like 69 cents a qt. I'd bet a paycheck though in a 5K mile run it would outperform RP, but then again it embarasses many more expensive oil in UOA's.
