Power steering pump assembly failure

New to the board ! Traded my 01 Silverado for 06 Titan Crew just 1 month ago. At 600 mi, there was a noticeable jerk to the right when turning left along with a whining noise. Back to dealer for service. He replaced power steering pump assembly and said he had not seen this before. Now 700 mi later, same problem ! Anyone else had this prob? Going back to delaer today...

Re: Power steering pump assembly failure

New to the service guy too! Went back this morning and he said he would look at the rack and see if anything there could be causing it. He's never had one go out like this. Just my luck !!! I did see a nice silver crew on the lot coming off the delivery truck that would be a nice replacement !!! I'll let you know what happens. I've searched for any info on this problem and it seems to be rare. There are cases of rack problems that are similar.

Re: Power steering pump assembly failure

Well I picked my truck at the dealership. They said eveidently some "junk", possibly from the old pump, had blocked the lines. They flushed the lines, checked: the rack and re-lubed....driving fine now so we'll see....
