Re: Truetrac in Titan - Review

Does anyone know if limited-slip additives are needed for the tru-trac???

Some brands are manufactured with the additives and can be used in open diffs as well.

Not a whole lot. Here is a not so professional vid I did shortly after it was installed. You can't see the dual patches but trust me they are there.

I do not have the burn out mod. My XE doesnt have ABLS or VDC. So I never felt a need for that mod.

Also, at the end of this cheasy video I let up on the gas. I could of kept getting squirly if I wanted to. lol.

http://media.putfile.com/Titan-with-TrueTrac

I noticed it does spin a little bit more (from a dead stop) after the timing advance. That advance sure does help the low end!

Re: Truetrac in Titan - Review

Are you guys putting in synthetic off the jump? I think i will put in regular 80/90 oil for break-in and drain after 1000 miles or so ..That way i can inspect for wear or abnormal amounts of shavings/flakes. Then drop in some amsoil 80/90 severe gear and an increased capacity Stillen diff cover

Wooohooo can't wait. Mine is going in today. Had to pay $280 plus fluids for install @ local tranny and differential shop. I'll make a video later... I've been spinning the f**k outta that damn right rear tire for well over 2 years now. Thanks god i can rotate my tires don't need directional rotation..I am so ready. I won't know what to do being able 2 hook up. Huh i will just have 2 race every silverado ss i see.

Re: Truetrac in Titan - Review

Excellent Vid FlimFlamMan!!!!!!!!!!

I also have the XE and I can really tell the power is cut back on the engine when the brake pedal is being pushed. When I let off the brake, the engine takes a huge jump in RPM's.

It would be nice to see how it smokes with the wire disconnected, but only to check it out. I don't plan on doing many brake-stands anyway.

Re: Truetrac in Titan - Review

i got Timken carrier bearings but I am not sure of their specs as I got them as a complete package from West Coast Differentials. Yes, I believe it is the Dana 44 ones.

Re: Truetrac in Titan - Review

JUst had it installed last weekend along with the big brakes from Stillen. Both rear wheel seals were leaking and had to be replaced along with the bearings. West Coast Diff or Ring and Pinion in Rancho Cordova did a great job. Thanks Mark

Re: Truetrac in Titan - Review

I want to purchase one but now I'm really confused. Who do I get it from and who to I bring it to to get it installed. One thing, is there any other things I need to purchase? Don't forget this...or don't forget that...I would like to know ahead of time. Thanks guys. Whats the best price any of you got on this so I can get a good deal!

Re: Truetrac in Titan - Review

Try West Coast Differentials and ask for Ed Hoard. You only need the diff and the carrier bearings.
