Strange Rattling Noise
I have a Brand new 06 4x2 SE , And have noticed a strange rattling noise coming from the rear of the truck. I read all the previous post on the rear-end problems, but none have matched mine.While in drive when you come to a stop with the brake still applied is when the sound is experienced. If you put the transmission in Neutral or Park the noise stops Immediately. ( so I cannot get out to see exactly where it is coming from. Also this doesnot occur all the time.
Any Info would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: Strange Rattling Noise
I discovered the noise was the Banks tail pipe vibrating on the back hanger that holds up the tail pipe. I just spread it apart with a large screwdriver.
