lifted-now getting squeek from front diff
I installed a PC 6" lift a few months back and everything was fine. A couple weeks ago I started getting a squeeky noise on hard right turns only. I tried to identify where it was coming from without any luck. Now the squeek has expanded to also being quietly present anywhere over 50-60mph. I'm not talking about a mild squeek either. Its a prolonged metal rubbing sound.
I pulled the front wheels and checked the hub nuts which were still good at 105 ft/lbs. But when I turned the hubs by hand I found that I had an occasional squeek coming from where the right cv goes into the front diff. I'm guessing this has to be it. Its definately rubbing metal somewhere which blows.
Prior to doing anything else, I just wanted to see if anyone had heard of this or knew of a cause.
