Re: drivetrain issues

The Nissan dealer replaced the drive shaft assembly last Saturday. So far the problem has been eliminated. The service technician said that he lubed the splines with moly lube to make sure the drive shaft moved freely where it meets the transmission. He said that since I noticed that the problem got worse the more I drove that he contributed that to heat expansion causing the drive shaft not to move freely in and out of the transmission.

I am also having this described problem. Just talked to the service guy and he is ordering new driveshaft and it should be installed tommorow. I will keep you guys posted on if this fixes the issue.

Re: drivetrain issues

I picked up the titan today after work. Turns out the a drive shaft assembly came in early so they were able to install it. The problem has gone away for now. The tech notes on my invoice says "driveshaft sticking at mid joint". Hope this helps you guys out there with the same issue.
