I have an Magnaflow system with the Zoomers tip. Yes I still have drone. But I have noticed that you only really hear the drone in the drivers seat. If I sit in the passenger seat or in the back seat no drone. No one ever says anything about the drone because i am driving. You guys with drone try this- lean over the console towards the passenger seat, do you have less drone?

Bottom line here, get the Zoomers tip or another truck.
How do you drive from the passenger or back seat. G.

Are y'all aware of the drumming problems in KC Titans, Quests and Armadas?

Some Nissan Dealers are drilling a hole thru the interior in an out of the way spot...noise goes away.

Your truck doesn't have to be loud. Put the Zoomer tip on http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/exhaus..._truck_suv.asp (Part No. API 1036)

Re: How do I reduce muffler noise?

This thread is still going? Man, just take your Titan back and get a Sentra... Did you test drive the Titan, didn't hear the bad @$$ rumble you get from even the stock muffler? You didn't like that??? Damn, that's some f'd up crap there. Put the Zoomers on like people have suggested, or trade your truck back in for a Sentra. I love my loud @$$ magnaflow w/resonance tip....

Speed asked a reasonable question and here’s a couple of your comments I’ve copied verbatim:

“Should have bought you a 4 banger”
“turn up the damn radio or something”
“Go trade your Titan in”
“You asked a question, a stupid one”
“should have bought a Scion or something like that. I'm sure you could have put a trailer hitch on one of those”
“Damn, that's some f'd up crap there”

He asked for advice and you answer with vitriol. That’s not what this website is all about.

Re: How do I reduce muffler noise?

With the way everyone beat him/her down, I'm surprised that they're at 15 now.

Way to welcome a newbie.

Everyone needs to remember - sarcasm and body language do not transmit to text. What you may think is funny from your keyboard looks mighty insulting 2,000 miles away when someone is asking for help.

Don't correct anyone on spelling or grammar.. You'll be chastised for it.
Been there, done that.

Re: How do I reduce muffler noise?

Just cut the pipe before and after the muffler, so that the muffler comes out...It will quiet things right up.

P.S. Don't actually do that.

Agreed. Pretty ridiculous. Sorry Speed, looks like you got the worst of bunch with this thread.

I'd say you have a few options...

Like a couple others have already stated:
1) Add an aftermarket tip
2) Add a resonator or additional muffler like this http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/VIB1142.htm

Last resort, take it to a muffler shop and see if they can help you with a custom setup that will make it quieter for you. Good luck.

Re: How do I reduce muffler noise?

I did suggest zoomers... Yes, I admit that I've had fun with this, but that's what this website is about too. If you can't take a bit of sarcasm, then there's something wrong. I get it everyday, and dish it right back; it's part of life, and it makes life fun. Some of you are way too serious, and should just chill out...

I fail to see how any of this was helpful. Only after bashing him with 4 posts did you include the word "zoomers" and it was after it had already been suggested by several people. I love to joke around, and I tend to use sarcasm a lot to do that, but joking and being an a$$ are two different things. I'll leave it up to you and everyone else to decide which one it was...Either way, this thread is old, let's move on.
