Allows you to do a hot change if you don't feel like waiting for the oil to cool down.
Definitely cuts down on the mess. No splash and splatter.
I did notice that if you want to get the last 1/4" of oil out of the pan, you have to unscrew the plug still. The way it is made, it sits pretty high up into the pan to allow for the valve and such.
I like my Fram Boost System, but for my oil change I have had good luck with the Fumoto Valve. Those things are as reliable as a bowling ball. I have ran them for many years. http://www.fumotousa.com/

Is it P/N F-103??? For gas trucks? Also, what kind of price am I looking at here?

Cool. From fumotousa's site, they state that the product is certified as "Genuine Parts." I guess that would mean that it would not void the Nissan warranty?
Endorsements:
The Engine Oil Drain Valve has been tested and granted "Genuine Parts" status by 6 major motor vehicle manufacturers in Japan, including Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Isuzu. These approvals were not granted easily and gaining them was a testimony to the quality and durability of Engine Oil Drain Valve. In the United States, the Engine Oil Drain Valve is being installed at the factory level on some of the vehicles/equipment made by Ford, Kohler, Freightliner, Caterpillar, JLG, GEHL, Ingersoll-Rand, Sullair, Toyota, Case, Magnetek, Timberjack, Lincoln Electric, Vermeer, Baldor, Terex, Deutz, Phaser Marine Generator and etc.

Good thrread, as the Fumoto name was brouhght up again. We have these on some generators at work, they are an item I would trust fully. Excellent seal, no leaks. I'll be looking into this.
Big fear of any valve is in having it accidently open or if it is bulky, getting broke off. Fumoto has an excellent reputation everytime I read of it.

Fumoto suggests using a hose clip to help secure the valve for extreme use situations. Good insurance regardless of application:
If you are using the Engine Oil Drain Valve on off-road vehicles such as farm tractors and logging equipment under extreme environment (i.e. corn fields, brush areas), it is recommended that a hose clip as shown below be used for extra safety and security. The hose clip, which can be purchased at any hardware stores, will firmly keep the lever in the locked position at all times.

I like the idea of the SureDrain because it minimizes getting oil all over the place. I find that in both my Frontier and my Titan, that the oil has a tendency to drip onto other parts (like crossmembers) that wouldn't normally be a problem if they weren't lifted (no lift means no crossmembers).
i have the sure drain and love it. have not had any leaking issues yet. it has a nice dust cap that screws on when the drain tube is not attached.
as mentioned before here, it does stick up a little inside the pan. however, i dont unscrew it to get the last bit of oil out. i just jack up the driver side of the truck and that works fine.

not sure why they stopped making/selling them.
I used it for 95,000 on my Frontier..never once had any issues or leaks with it!
