Knock On Cold Startup

My 06 knocks when I crank it in the morning or whenver the motor is not warmed also does it worse while in gear. but once it warms up it goes away. My old Chevy did that and was famous for now my titan does it. Any suggestions or things I can check. It has plenty of oil by the way.

Re: Knock On Cold Startup

What type of oil and filter? I had a similar issue with mine. I found out my oil filter was bad. I was using a K&N oil filter. I switched to pure one and ams oil no noises or valve train noise.

Re: Knock On Cold Startup

I have had this for a while too. Sometimes it sounds like a diesel for a bit but it always goes away. I use a pure one filter and mobil 1 10/30.
