Re: New Gears For Titan??

I get mine out of the shop with 41" Tires on it right before the new year...I know titans that have 40's and run fine with stock gears but what is a desirable gear for just running primarily on the streets with 41's?

Re: New Gears For Titan??

DaFridge, trust me, 4.10s and 37's are great.
I was at the manufacturer yesterday, way cool place as they make forged axles and i had never been to a shop that did this. We will have a first run of gears by the end of January for a select group of testers. After a month of testing to be sure of any issues (not the gears themselves, as that is pretty easy for these guys) they will be relaeased. Prices should be in the mid $200/ per set (around $500 front and rear). I will try to post a video of what 4.10's can do to a pair of 37's (with a locker no less) in the next couple days.
These guys are also looking at building upgraded axle shafts to compliment the gears and big tires or slicks.

Well I'm sure that me being on the East coast, I won't be included in that "select few". But my wallet is ready.......

Re: New Gears For Titan??

wow greg see if they are intrested in making a lightweight alluminum driveshaft for the 2wd's im sick of seeing rust and im sure if i had a aluminum driveshaft for my truck it'd have a lot more hp getting to the rear tires..

are these ring and pinions going thru the shotpeening process to make them much much stronger? i have seen studies of where a 1000hp car can't keep a ring &pinion in 1 piece for more than 3 trips down the track.. but with shotpeening it can take all the abuse you can throw at it, think after 60 runs they pulled the ring &pinion out and it was flawless no marks or chips, looked brand new..

Maybe they can look at the front diff axles & C-Clip situation?

I wrote drive shaft.. all the 4x4's have aluminum drive shafts the 4x2's have steel ones which are 2x heavier if not more..

Re: New Gears For Titan??

If you lift your truck and put 35" tires on it, will new gears bring it back to stock mpg or does it just give power back that was lost w/ the upgrade?
