You know the stock ring gear will take more abuse than a 3.73. More meat on the teeth.

Guys what do they mean then that our gears in the big tow are equivalent to 4:10's?? What do we with BT really have? and what of a difference will there be going to ACTUAL 4:10's? We will waste even crazier amounts of gas right? I dont care too much bout the gas since the most I get already is bout 12mpg but would still like to know... How much roughly would these gears cost as well?

Titan trannys are geared lower than most domestics. Our trucks final drive with a 3.36 is similar to a chevy.ford etc final drive with 4.10s.

Like Kartman said, the difference is in the transmission gearing. So Nissan had to press the fact that final drive ratio is about the same as the final drive ratio of the domestics with 4.10 gears. Just work off the stock Nissan gear ratios and ignore the whole "similar to 4.10" thing.
I really don't know much bout gearing, but I have this question for you gear gurus.. If I have the 2.94 now which is equivlant to the 3.73 and i want to have the bigtow gear which is the 3.36 which performs like a 4.10 if i get the 4.10 gear will it perform like a 5.20? i dunno i just know i dont want anything higher than the "stock " big tow gearing, just want more acceleration off the line at the track.

What size tire are you running? 3.73's with 35" tires will have slightly lower gearing than the Big Tows 3.36:1 gearset. If you're running 33" tires, 3.73's will be even lower, probably equivalent to something like a 4.56 (I didn't do the math-I haven't had my coffee yet ).
i thought 3.73 was higher than the 3.36? the number is higher why wouldnt it be a higher gear? im confused..
It's a ratio, from pinion to ring gear. For example with a 3.73 gear; for every 3.73 rotations (revolutions) of the pinion, the ring will turn 1 time. So to break it down even simpler, for every 3.73 revs of the drive shaft, the tires will turn 1 rev.
id be down for the 3.73 or 4.10 as long as the ecu isnt an issue! my wallet is already open! changing the gears in my old z28 was the best mod i ever did.... i have been waiting for these to come out for the titan... so dont be a TEASE please :-)
