Re: tranny temp gauge

I've seen threads on this...the dash cluster is different, and there are other issues.

Better to go aftermarket, and put the gauge where it best can be seen.

Re: tranny temp gauge

I would go with Autometer. They seem to be the most universally accepted brand of gauges around.

Re: tranny temp gauge

Wish I could tell you more, but the Autometer (IIRC the Brand) has a Tranny Temp Gage as a kit, looks good.

Re: tranny temp gauge

I put the temperature sending unit in the pan, but you could put it in a test port or the hot line between the tranny and cooler if you wanted to. The rest is just hooking it up to power switched by the key.

Re: tranny temp gauge

Sounds easy enough PT. Did you tap and thread the tranny pan to put it in??

Originally, yes, but it had a slow leak so I ended up having it brazed.

The dash cluster is the same. The overlays are just different. If you remove your overlay you will see a transmission temp gauge without a needle in all non-BT Titans.

You have got to be kidding me. Will it work if you install the temp sensor/sender and the needle on the gauge???
