Thumbs down Rearend gone Again....

My rear end is gone again. This is the 3rd time for me. This one lasted 1 year. And have not towed anything with it. Thank God it has 52K miles on it. p.s. looking at buying a new car. lol atleast for every day use.... It made a clunk when turning left or right, and just got worse. Drove it to Nissan and said here it is again. So atleats it was able to drive there. Unlike last time, it wouldn't go at all. Good luck to all of you having problems with yours, and happy new year!

Re: Rearend gone Again....

Consider the TruTrac upgrade. Maybe dealer will do free labor to install it.

Re: Rearend gone Again....

Man I just don't get it. I drive the hell out of mine and take it too the track all the time. I have also towed for atleast 4-5k of the 9k on the truck.

Not sure what I would do if I had problems like that.

I'd have to cut my losses and buy a truetrack, or the new Toyota lol. I'd probably try the Truetrack first though.

That blows.
Maybe they forgot to fill it with oil?

Or maybe......just maybe.. the rearends are a POS and nissan is to cheap to do anything with them.

Oh no ... that couldn't be.

Re: Rearend gone Again....

I agree with all of you... I have been without my Titan for 6 days now. and they said they won't give me a rental car. So this BLOWS, lol I told them that I would never buy another Nissan ever again. Due to the fact that is it breaks down, and takes a week or 2 to get the part in, then you can just find your own way to work. that is piss poor business, if you don't mind me saying. But yeah Nissan is too cheap to fix the POS Rearends that they just keep putting on these trucks. I would say if you have never had a problem, then it's just a matter of time! P.S. I'm going to look at a Toyota Yaris today! :-) just incase it goes past 6the 60 k warranty, and then blows. not to mention the 40 mpg is pretty cool too! you all take care

Re: Rearend gone Again....

sheesh! sorry to hear that man...... that new tundra is looking better and better. Are the Ram or Tundra experiencing all these issues? I realize the Titan is a new venture for Nissan but they've been around long enough now to address and resolve these reoccuring issues that so many are having.

Re: Rearend gone Again....

I had my rearend replaced once already and its starting to make that high pitch sound again. I guess I will be in to the Stealership to get the reaend replaced again. I too havent towed anything , just had the four wheeler in the bed a couple of times, Im sure that didn't hurt anything.

Re: Rearend gone Again....

I find it interesting that some people experience no problems and some people experience repeated problems.

It would be nice if all of the data could be correlated to see how people use their trucks.

If that doesn't show any pattern, then I would think that it would have to be something else such as installation/rear end alignment.

Are the guys with the Stillen S/C blowing the rears?

Of course they are. The new Tundra might be nice and all, but I'm willing to bet they have their share of first year issues. All car manufacturers do.

I'd be afraid to drive something that small, seems like a deathtrap. Imagine if a Titan hit one. This Mazda 323 pulled out right in front of my wife in her Mountaineer, and she punched him at about 35 mph. The Mountaineer fared much better, the airbags didn't even pop.

Re: Rearend gone Again....

Then again, I commute daily on a motorcycle, so I guess it's all relative.
