Question Cai

Im getting ready to buy a CAI. Do any of ya'll really think there is a significant difference in either Volant, AEM, K&N,or for that matter the Nismo set-up. Volant claims to deliver more peak HP than some of the others but I'm not sure how thats possible ASSUMING that they all have about the same air delivery. Also, for those of you that do have cai's does the engine timbre and tone changed more for one than the other, i.e. Voloant vs. K&N.
thanx

Re: Cai

i dont know much about the others but the reason i went with aem was the price and its an oiless filter. Gives the dealer no reason to void you warrenty that way.

Re: Cai

They will all give a very close number. Shailey did a dyno test an most of the intake. Volant did yield the highest number but only 1 more horse than the AEM.

Re: Cai

Mario,

The only way the dealer could bring up warranty is if you over oil the filter and in turn it damages the MAF. If you follow directions on cleaning and oiling there wont be a issue.

There all pretty much the same, it's your choice on what you want. People that choose the AEM with dry filter do it because it is not oiled. I choose the volant because it seemed to be the most popluar and I was able to get a good deal on it.

I don't think the noise differs from different CAI's and they all do the same thing and are set up the same. One may be a bit louder than the other. I have not sat in different titans to listen.

Hope this helps
