My truck has a leak at the rear seal where the rear driveshaft goes into the transfer case. I just picked up my truck from the dealer ad they told the me transfer case is leaking because of the lift. The driveshaft apparently is not all the way in because of the "misalignment." It does look like like the little shaft that goes into the transfer case is sticking out too far...but would this cause the leaking?
Anyone else with a leak have this problem, and what is the solution? I don't want toget rid of the lift, and I don't want to have to buy a longer driveshaft.I know tons of people have lifted Titans..anyone run into this problem? How'd they resove it?
With all the lifted trucks running around, I figured that this shouldn't be an issue. Can someone please shed some light on this for me. I'm pretty depressed about the whole thing abd thinking about trading in the truck for a lifted GM truck from the dealer or something...Thanks!
Re: NEED HELP ASAP - I'm demoralized and confused...
I've seen new Titans at the dealer in Modesto, CA with that exact lift...if there were problems I"m sure they would not have done it.
Can anyone with a lifted 4X4 get a pick for Lemon of there shaft....see if his looks about the same or not.

i haven't heard anything about this and i know a ton of owners run the 6" PC lift. that's the one i'm planning on, so i'm curious to see how this turns out.
Re: NEED HELP ASAP - I'm demoralized and confused...
Sounds like dealership BS to me...I've never had a problem, and I haven't heard of anyone else with the ProComp 6" that's had this problem either...(I didn't do alot of searching, but there's a few of us here in my hometown that all have the ProComp 6" stage2 that don't have a problem like this!!!
Closeups of my driveshaft from the xfer case...sorry, it was dark and I couldn't see very well, but there you have it.
Mine is almost flush on both sides.
***EDIT: and never you mind about my little pink Barbie bicycle you see there!!!

Re: NEED HELP ASAP - I'm demoralized and confused...
Sounds like BS to me, I think it's simple geometry, if you knew the beginning driveshaft angle and the ending angle, and you know the rise, simple math of the triangle will show how much the "hypotenuese" (sp) has lengthened.
A 6 inch rise really doesnt sound like too much of an increase.
Could be wrong, though it would be the first time this year
Re: NEED HELP ASAP - I'm demoralized and confused...
I must not have read the post too well, my bad. It said at the back of the transfer case. Anyways, my point was that it is not a massive lift that should require a longer driveshaft. With the relocated transfer case and the relocated rear end being nearly the same amount, the angle shouldn't be all that different from stock.
