First problem with Titan...need advice please

I bought an '04 Titan 4x4 (used, with 23K miles) last summer and I absolutely love it. Zero problems for 10,000 miles, nothing but a fun truck until tonight. I was making a left-hand turn and the truck started shaking and making a loud noise - it seemed like I had a log jammed between the tire and tire well. As I completed the turn and started driving straight, it sounded like the gears were grinding. I only had 2 blocks to go to get home, so I kept going - as I was driving straight, no issues. As I turned left onto my street, the same symptom reappeared. After I parked, I checked under and around the truck and everything seemed fine. I have zero mechanical knowlege, but I do have an extended warranty from Carmax (where I bought the truck). I'm curious if anyone has experienced the same problem, or if anyone can give me an idea of what might be wrong? I'm taking it in on Monday, put my warranty to good use. Finally, I don't take it off-roading - it gets driven on the highways only - so I haven't beaten on it at all.

Check those front axles to be sure they didn't bust a C clip.
With a name like Farva, I have to ask if you have ever seen the movie Supertroopers.

If you could bring the truck by my house, I would gladly help you look for the issue.

Go beat the thing and blow it up. Then take it back to Carmax and let them fix it for you.

It's coming from the rear of the truck. Thanks for the advice. Somebody PM'd me and said it was the rear diff - sound right?

Supertroopers? Indeed, Rod Farva is the coolest chicken-f'er.

Re: First problem with Titan...need advice please

I think his differential is shot if it also makes a lound clunking while turning and giving it gas. If it doesnt clunk when turning, I have no idea what it might be.
