I have an 04 2wd cc. I have the same thing at about 47 mph. I have 46000 on the original Goodyears. Replacing them this Saturday with Michelins, I'll see if it goes away.
Stock structs usually last about 25k miles on a heavy truck. I put my money on the struts.

I have the same thing on my 04 that only has 21K miles on it. I think it is the shocks as well. Could it be the shocks even with low miles is my question??? The shocks are old because it is a 04, but not too many miles.

Ok My truck is a BRAND NEW '08 Titan King cab with 525 miles on it and guess what, certain roads, not so certain speeds and I get bounce bad enough to get sick... curious to see what anyone thinks of this.
FYI: My truck bounces at 70 to 80 mph and it still does this after my mechanic installed PRG's 4" spindle kit (which has CST spindles, 5500 bilsteins in front and DRs on the rear).
I still need to post pics, I just got back from Cali for Turkey-day.
My mechanic drove it prior to the PRG kit install and then after and he says I need a high speed wheel balance and suggested a local speed shop that he uses for front end alignment.
Also,he had my truck aligned at the speed shop after the kit was installed and I'm rolling on Michillen's MXs with only 1000 miles on them.
I let you know if this works, plan to have it done this weekend.

A bunch of stuff, not all of it works

Is this your first truck? Different roads will cause different vehicles to "oscillate" at various speeds. That is, the seams or bumps in the road will cause vehicles with certain wheelbases to bounce or see-saw if the speed is right. This is most noticeable on trucks due to the suspension and longer wheelbase. Speeding up or slowing down may cause it to go away or be less pronounced, but in most cases that's just the nature of the beast. If you were experiencing this on ALL roads and a given speed then it would be a truck issue, but your problem is just with certain types of roads.
For me, this happens when driving on I-10 towards Palm Springs, the concrete road like to make my truck bounce.

It is indeed, however Ive talked to alot of people who own assorted other trucks and they all have told me that some bouncing with heavy trucks and no load is normal but this is really bad ... pretty much the only time it doesn't bounce that bad is on <1 year old low speed roads, and at speeds below 10mph... adding/reducing speed seems to have little bearing on the bounce.
Vegas does have some crappy roads no doubt but it even does it going 60 on the new third lane of I-15 heading towards LA.

Fair enough for nominal bounce but this is like riding a jackhammer... also I suspect that it being brand new could be some of the problem but still... trust me, this is excessive.

Are most of the roads out there concrete laid in sections, so there's a "thump bump" every 8 feet or so? These are the worst and will cause trucks to bounce when a car that has softer suspension won't.
I don't know what's worse, the hard bounce or the see-saw with long-wheelbase trucks. Some folks have litterally gotten sick from the see-saw, it's a lot like going up and down waves on a boat.
I get a pretty good firm bounce going on a number of socal freeways, but I-10 is by far the worst. It bounces enough to cause my flex-mounted iPod to bounce up and down a good 3 inches or so, That's a lot considering how stiff the flex neck is.
I would imagine this is more pronounced on Off-Road or Pro4X equipped trucks that have firmer shocks, but I can't say for sure as I don't have either of those packages.

So I should just quit *****ing and either get a smoother riding car or enjoy the ride? Frankly Ill take my chances with the Titan... funny thing is, the Ford Fusion I got from enterprise while my truck was in the shop did the exact same thing on the same road only (of-course) a little less pronounced considering the obvious differences.
Also bbomar ... thanks for being ummm concise?
