torque converter lock up

Hi again , can anyone tell me , how do I tell and what to look for to know when my torque converter is locked up and when it is not.
I see alot about folks saying theirs is kept locked during this or that time when driving, but how do you know?

Look for rpm verse speed in top gear...W/ tow package and stock height tires you should see about 2000 rpm at 70 mph with the t/c locked up, add about 300-400 rpm when it's not locked up.
You need to "feel" what your truck is doing, also when it unlocks it can feel like you dropped a gear...Either case your have to use the Force and feel what's happening.
