Re: Spark plug

The only plugs I have had a bad experience with are called Split Tails, or something like that. I put those in my old Hardbody and actually lost 1-2 mpg versus my platinums with 30kmi on them. I coudn't detect a loss of power, but the milage suffered.

Re: Spark plug

IMO, I am gonna change my plus @ 60k, I am at 53 now. And I am going to use the Nissan Plugs from the dealer ( I work for the dealer so I get them at cost). I have found that simply changing them at 60k or like intervals doesnt necessarily improve things, but if you get up to the higher mileages and have to remove those plugs then good luck. Thats why I laugh at 100k intervals. Yes the plug will last, but at 100k can you get it out? Maybe things are different in other parts of the country but here salt is my #1 enemy.

That is a true statement. Even at 32K, I had a little difficulty loosening the plugs when I checked them. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that it's not a bad idea to replace them before the 100K mark.
