Question Tech tranny fluid question

First off, I screwed up going to jiffy lube in the first place, but here is the situation. Right at 30k miles I did the whole service deal; flush and refill all. I did not pay much attention to the manual about tranny fluid, so I didn't think twice about them refilling my tranny with synthetic dexron. I have 45k miles on it now, and knock on wood, all is good. I remember when the service was done, my shifts were actually smoother than the type J, and performance seemed smoother. The dilemma; since everyone is so explicit about using only type J, should I flush it now, or wait till 60k like I usually do(every 30k)? I don't really tow, and I only push it during those rare times when I put 1500s and F150s in their place. Also, should I use amsoil, nissan, or valvoline Maxlife? I keep seeing some PDFs on the net saying that amsoil is and isn't compatible, so I'm not sure what to think. Any info and advice is welcome, and thanks very much in advance!

Re: Tech tranny fluid question

I kno it states it lots of places to only use Type J. If it were me I would change it. Maybe one of the Nissan Tech guys can tell you otherwise but I personally would use what it stated.
