It certainly looks like (at the fill valve) that they spilled a bit. But for them to just shake the oil all over the place doesnt sound right... Maybe they oiled all the moving parts back there for fun?
Did you check your diff level before taking it to them? If so you may have had this problem already and been running reallllllly low on the rear diff fluid.
Did you at least make sure they used the SYNTHETIC fluid Nissan recommends now for all Titans? Some places dont have it up to date and use the old stuff, which will work, but Nissan even knows that Synthetic gear oil is better for the diff.
Oh and on the part of should you drive or not - Do you have AAA? If so then go for it :-)

well ive only had little wet spot on the the under side of the diff .. but that been there since almost day one .... as far as checking the diff level ..i never have nore do i know how to..( but i have takne it ot the dealer ship for my 30,000 maint.. dont they check the diff level at that time) .. i specifed to use the SYN and they did use SYN 75w90 GL-5 Should they have used somthing else?.... no i dont have AAA... is it easy to join... could i join now online and have it active already?
so whne you say it seems its at the fill valve ..... would that cause me to have the diff dripping onto the drive way... its only like about a quarter coin size drop and nothing more .... so is your take that its all residual?
thanks for the response

I don't think even JiffyLubers would be spraying gear oil all over. I think it is leaking onto the driveshaft and the spinning drive shaft is throwing oil all over. Probably a bad pinion seal. Maybe the check valve is plugged, which pressurizes the rear axle and blows seals. (see CJ3Flyers thread on venting rear axle).

I agree - When my rear diff blew this is where the leak was. My axle seals were leaking too, but this is where the bulk of the fluid came out.

I think I would get shop rags and Simple Green or other degreaser and clean the area to see if the problem still persists and where the fluid is coming from.

okay guys.. i took it back this morning ... they guy who did the work was there and he told me that whne he was pumping the lube in that the hose slipped out and sprayed every where ... he did not hose it down but attempted to RAG it off ... it seems to make sense to me .. ive been parked now for about 30 minutes and havent noticed any leaking ... and when they checked the level it was full.... seems a little to simple of an explaination .. but i hope its the truth.... how long would i need to be parked before noticing another drip mark on the drive way
im going to be leaving in about an hour or so .... ....

It may take some driving to heat up the fluid and get it moving around before you see much of a drip.

Changing the rear lube is so unbelievably easy. And you are
sure to do it right. You can also make sure that it is in fact syn. oil. Hope it all works out for ya.

If they put in 75-90 synthetic oil that is the wrong oil. Nissan specifies 75-140 synthetic. Nissan went to 75-140 sometime in 05.
While the oil you used will work, Nissan changed the spec. for a reason.

You dont have the BT package so your rear isnt as likely to go as the BT rearends from the poll here of which ones are going. Needless to say You should still put the recomended lube in.

dude, that rear end has the seals blown out of it from overfilling and probably using the wrong diff fluid type. I would use only oem recommend fluids. I know jiffy lube is less expensive and convenient, but you need to make them pay for that **** after you get a quote from nissan to fix it.
