Is your truck a 4x4 w/off road pkg or a 4x2 with big tow pkg? If so you have 3:36:1 gearing which may be why you're not having this problem. Mine is an 07 4x2 crew cab LE with 1300 miles on it now and it won't even squeak the tires a little bit unless your on very slick pavement like well worn chipseal, in which case you might get just a little bit of a chirp out of them. I too love my Titan, I traded in a 07 Chevy Silverado Classic Z71 w/LT3 pkg and 9,000 miles on it, and I'm not sorry I did. My chevy had the 5.3 L V-8 and all it's power seemed to be in the upper rpm range....didn't seem to have much low end grunt at all. Anyway this is my 2nd Titan. My first one was an 04 4x4 crewcab w/off road package and it would EASILY light them up even with only 1k on a tight new motor. I've been trying to figure out why the drastic difference. My 04 was completely stock...no mods. At first I thought it was the gearing difference with the 04 having 3:36:1 and my 07 having 2:94:1 but lately I've begun to wonder if maybe it has more to do with the torque management system interfering with what I'm trying to do with the gas pedal. When you tromp down on it it feels like it's going to go but then it kind of goes soft (like somebody....the computer....via the throttle by wire just closed the butterfly down somewhat) then after about 10 feet or so it feels like it starts to pull again. Right now my truck is completely stock. I test drove a Tundra with the 5.7 and one real nice feature it has is the ability to
turn off the computer interference with the push of a switch.....wish our trucks had this....then I'd know for sure if the problem is gearing.
Anyway I hope anyone who finds and answer to this problem will post it up....seems like there's quite a few of us with new 07's that are behaving this way. It's frustrating

because I think we all know that our trucks have more power than they're giving us for some reason.....at least off the line anyway. I know my 04 sure did....with the same engine in stock trim and oversize off road tires it would turn them over without even having to floor it....just give a good goose and they'd start to spin. Next step, nismo intake and magnaflow exhaust...should have it installed by the end of the week. I'm hoping this will help.
At speeds above 30 mph or so my 07 feels just as strong as my 04 did.
PS If intake and exhaust mods don't help I think I may check into the uprev tuning software to see if they can circumvent this torque management thing.
