Re: True Trac discount

So I'm doin the offroad thing w/ my 2WD Titan.. not climbin tho, so hopefully I wont have 1 of my rear wheels "up in the air". I just got a bit confused here tho... I thought the way the TruTrac worked was when 1 wheel began to spin, it locked in the 2nd... Thus making my 2wd truck MUCH more effective off road (Main concerns - SOFT Sand and Mud out in the desert). If I still dont get power to the 2nd wheel when the first begins to spin free then it sounds like this may be a bit of a waste of money for me?

Please correct me if I'm wrong - maybe that wheel spinnin on its own only effects the 4x's?

Mike

Re: True Trac discount

Hi All,

I was just quoted $1,200 for the TrueTrac...installed. Seems FAR higher than I've seen posted here before. It is currently backordered however, so I'm wondering if the demand is driving the cost up.

Anyone know of a better price in SoCal...from a reputable installer??
