Re: Carrier Bearings PN?

You don't need the carrier bearing for the TT, only if you are swapping the ring and pinion.

For the carrier bearings you have to grab the ones from the Armada which are part numbers 38120-7S000 and 38140-40P00 and the crush sleeve is 38166-7S000. If your doing the whole swap you should also get the pinion seal, pinion nut and pinion washer along with the races and bearings for the axles for the TT which these are the part numbers from Napa.

Re: Carrier Bearings PN?

I would prefer to replace the carrier bearings, so the part numbers for that application would be appreciated.

Would the 2 bearings be one of these #'s ?

I only replaced the carrier bearings, the old one could be use but new one save times.

Re: Carrier Bearings PN?

THANKS baseballfanz

I figured if I pull the triger, new bearings and oil seals wouldn't hurt.

You know it kind of sucks, I have a lot of warranty remaining, however I make multiple trips into Canada heavily laden and you know Murphy’s Law...

Re: Carrier Bearings PN?

If you are already that far into a rear end, no matter what mileage, makes sense to change those bearings and seals just for the fact that it's cheap insurance. If you think saving a few bucks by using the old stuff helps, then think of that when you have to open it back up for a silly old seal or bearing that may be on the verge of failure to start with. Usually that is rare but would sure tick me off to button it back up and then be back in there again for anything.
