motor noise sounds like lifter tick - Page 3

once in a while if I run my 04 hard it will drop pressure just a hair below halfway when I am sitting still in drive but goes back to normal if in park or neutral.

I've a 08 with 450 miles and I hear the ticking noise only in the morning and once it warms up it goes away. It is definately on the top of the motor. I took it in and dealer said it is normal.
My 2005 Kia Sorento did the same- dealer said it was normal.

My 04 also has a very noticeable tick. Had it since day one, it’s got about 30k on it now.

I just ignore it and 99% of the time I don’t even notice it. I dose sound a lot like a lifter that is a little sloppy. But I think it’s just the normal valve train noise for the 5.6 endurance engine.

I have head some say it’s a bad ground but I duno.

I have the same/a similar noise, seems to be coming from the driver's side and I can only really hear it or notice it at idle. Tick...tick...tick...about once every .5-.7 seconds. I figure it's probably an injector, but could be the evap purge valve (TSB for it). I'll bring it up when I drop it off for service on Wednesday. Doubt it's a big problem, it's just annoying.
