Unhappy Why NISSAN tranny fluid?

Hey guys. Any solid answer as to why we should only use Nissan and not other fluid.? And IF we were to use others, what (besides voiding the warrant) would happen?? I changed my tranny last month and just found out about this and pretty sure my mechanic didnt use Nissan! OOPS!! Am I doomed!!!

You can be the experiment nobody tried yet. Keep us posted after you put a few thousand miles on it.

Re: Why NISSAN tranny fluid?

As long as it meets or exceeds Nissan J-Matic transmission fluids, I don't see why it would void your warranty. Then again, I don't trust my dealership to do anything that isn't involved with warranty work...
