I think whether it is more or less noticeable depends on what ratio you start with BT 3.36 or non BT 2.94. I had the non BT 2.94 and I can really tell especially when I'm getting WOT After 40MPH. After I get a UpRev tune I will get WOT from 0 MPH and more HP and TQ through out the power band THEN it will REALLY PULL like a MUTHA! FROM 0 MPH!
SEE WHAT UPREV CAN DO FOR YOU! CLICK IT MAN!

BECHLYF... nice meeting you today... thanks for the ride also lol. Did you get that tire psi down... I could feel that the tires had at least 38#'s in them lower it down a little bit and it will feel plush unless you like the tight feel from the tires. see you in the dirt

Re: TRUETRAC Mag-Hytech Diff Cover AND 3:73 GEARS

I only really drive around town but my gas mileage is horrible. 8.6 mpg on average. I have a bit of a heavy foot though.

Yeah I have the BT gears... I was going to get the gears, but I saw the size of the Pinion on the those 3:73 looks a little small for my taste. It maybe okay... but If I was able to shear one in half with the 3:36's... I don't want to chance it. I'll just get the UpRev for some power.

I just went on Precision Gear Calculator and pgthe1 will gain around 207.20 RPM if he has big tow gears and 36's and I gained around 468.42 RPM in 5th gear doing 75 MPH with 35's because I have (HAD) the same gear set as you. Hoolie, your gonna love it. Now that I have had a chance to drive the truck I notice more power and in 1st-5th the truck is not straining to accelerate. And even though I have had to have will power to keep off the gas I think I'm getting better gas mileage. Much MORE responsive thats the word RESPONSIVE. all around more fun to drive, now if I could swing UpRev Wooooooooooooosh. the truck WILL become a bat outta HELL! WOT from 0 more HP & TQ

Hi Pete, the gears Hoopers installs are not the same, they are Super 44 Dana/Spicer the same type that are used in the Viper. and 200 RPM more wont hurt. and one of the reasons your pinion broke might have been that your gearing was not low enough, if you put a load on it and its not as easy to turn something is gonna give. so if you change the gears they will be stronger and they will turn the tires easier. less strain (force, energy) to turn the mass. HEY! is that physics?

lmfao, even before I clicked the pix I kinda thought strip club when I read across the street, for some reason that's the 1st thing that came to mind

Re: TRUETRAC Mag-Hytech Diff Cover AND 3:73 GEARS

Has any one done the gears in both the front and the rear? What happens when your in 4x4 mode with two gear ratios front and rear? Does anything have to be done with the ecu after you make the gear swap? Thanks for the info.
