Rear End Vibration/Slipping????

Hey everyone ive had my pinion seal and axle seals go out im not sure if it was from the rear end vibration i was getting but possibly could have been so i took my 06 titan se to nissan and they put a whole new axle in for me. I still get the vibration with my new axle and i dont want it to end up going out so if you know what i could do to prevent it or even know why or what its doing please let me know. THANKS

Tire out of round?
Tire out of balance?
Driveshaft misaligned?

Re: Rear End Vibration/Slipping????

If it is when you take off fast, it could be a pinion angle problem. My truck, when tied to a trailer, would vibrate bad when taking off because of the weak springs allowing the differential to twist upward during acceleration. My driveshaft would actually start vibrating until I let reached cruising speed and let off the gas. If you take off slow and still have a vibration then might be something else. Axle wrap is a problem with these trucks. Could also be bad u-joints. Check the bolts holding your transmission down for tightness and also your center drivshaft bearing. If you have a lift, that will make the problem even worse.

Re: Rear End Vibration/Slipping????

That sounds like the problem. Do you think torshen bars would fix the problem or do you think traction bars? What did you do to fix yours?

Helper springs helped mine but if you have a lift , you better go with traction bars. PRG can help.
