worth it to put a finned diff cover?

Right now on my 04 I have the stock non finned, crappy looking differential cover and been thinking about wanting to put a finned diff cover. I have a camper I tow every once and a while but not like on long trips or anything.
Which type of finned cover would yall reccomend?

Ask the dealer, if they can get it for you, under mfg. extended warranty. Also, change to 75W140 Synthetic Fluid.

Re: worth it to put a finned diff cover?

Just go with the Stillen diff cover. Gives you more room for more oil.....

I'm looking at a PML diff. cover (see it at yourcovers.com, with a www in front of it). Sorry, I don't yet have the requisite 15 forum posts under my belt to allow me to post complete URL' s to other sites.

Don't know much about the company that makes it, but I also tow a travel trailer; and the PML cover is deeper than others I've seen -- allowing room for more lubricant to keep things cooler while towing.

I second the PML cover, the Stillen is just a fancier version of the stock finned cover.

Re: worth it to put a finned diff cover?

Might consider the Mag-Hytec as well, great looking cover and I think it holds the most of the three covers out there, I know more than Stillen anyhow.

Re: worth it to put a finned diff cover?

Is that the PML in the picture? Almost looks like the Stillen.
How are the Magtech's?
